| Set back from the road and among towering pines, Brook
Trout Run is a secluded, quiet retreat. Relax
on the deck overlooking the North Fork Cache la Poudre and be lulled by the
sound of the water running over and around the rocks as it journeys toward Ft. Collins. The river, stocked with several
varieties of mountain trout, offers hours of catch and release fishing for the true
sportsperson. Open year round, Brook Trout Run with its proximity to Beaver Meadows, is close to mountain biking trails, hiking trails, horseback riding and other summer activities, as well as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sleigh rides and tubing during the winter. The property is geared toward the sights and sounds of nature, whether it be the moose that roam the meadow and drink from the river, deer, elk, an occasional mountain lion, coyotes or the smaller rabbits, chipmunks and ground squirrels, the wonder of life in “the real Rocky Mountains” will amaze you. The three story house has a large loft on the upper level that is ideal for teenagers, children or adults who wish to talk, play games or watch movies on the VCR/DVD player. A library of movies is provided. The main level of the house has a spacious open living, dining and kitchen area. Meals can be prepared while the cook enjoys the company of family and friends. Afterward, the living room, deck and loft offer spacious areas for relaxing and lounging. The main level has two bedrooms and a full bath. There is a crib in case there is a baby in your family. The lower level is as yet unfinished with the exception of a completed ¾ bath. For a large family mountain getaway, Brook Trout Run is the place to be. NOTE: Daily fishing passes (required) can be purchased at the Crystal Lakes office. Details: 2 bedrooms, 1 ¾ baths, loft, sleeps 7 (2 queens, 3 singles), living, dining area, kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, washer/dryer, TV with DVD/VHS, Bose radio with CD. No TV reception. Deck, gas grill.
