With beautiful views overlooking Crystal Lake and Lakeview Park, Blue Moose Lodge is ideal for the large family looking for a mountain escape.  Completely remodeled in 2010, it provides all the comforts of home in a beautiful, serene mountain setting.  It’s a favorite resting spot for the locals – deer, marmots, bobcats, and an occasional moose.

The kitchen is beautifully appointed, with oak cabinets, black and stainless appliances, new countertops, and an inviting breakfast bar.  It provides the perfect environment for the cook to prepare culinary delights as everyone returns from hiking, fishing, horseshoeing, or simply relaxing on the deck and taking in the spectacular view of the lake across the road.

The living/ dining area has wood floors and an open floor plan.  Storage areas in the living area hold games and movies for fun family evenings spent relaxing in front of the fire with its gorgeous stone hearth and rustic mantle.  Atop the mantle is a flat screen TV with satellite reception and a DVD player.  After movie watching, you may want to gather outside for some stargazing and marshmallow roasting around the fire pit.

At the end of the day, everyone can retire to the privacy of three spacious bedrooms:  the children can giggle and tell ghost stories in the “bunk” room; guests can relax and unwind in a charming bedroom off the living area; and mom and dad can dream the night away in the master suite, complete with its own bathroom and another flat screen TV.

NOTE: Daily fishing passes (required) can be purchased at the Crystal Lakes office.  To fish the North Fork Cache la Poudre River, a Colorado fishing license is also required.  All moving water fishing is catch and release.”
