Bear Dance Lodge

Bear Dance lodge was completed in March 2005 and is a custom log home with luxury details throughout. The lodge sits on a private small stocked lake in the community of Crystal Lakes just a 10 minute drive to the town of Red Feather Lakes, CO. The area is visited frequently by Deer, Beaver, and Moose. If you are a bird lover, you will love watching the hummingbirds play!

The location of the lodge is 1 hour and 15 minutes Northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado in the Red Feather Lakes and Crystal Lakes communities. It's a 2 hour drive from Denver International Airport. Surrounded by the snowcapped Mummy Mountain Range, this area is blessed with beautiful rock outcroppings, Aspen and Evergreens.

The town of Red Feather Lakes is just 3.5 miles from Bear Dance Lodge and is surrounded by Rock outcroppings and picturesque lakes. It's a cute Mayberry RFD-type of town with a bingo hall, library, post office, hardware store, real estate offices, ice cream shop and two trading posts where you can buy groceries, moccasins & homemade fudge.  There are half dozen restaurants and entertainment such as Saturday Night Karaoke. Oh, there are two small liquor stores there as well.

The Crystal Lakes subdivision is 4800 acres with 7 stocked lakes and rivers, including the 500 acre Crystal Lake. There is a small additional fee paid to the community association to fish any of these lakes, but a Colorado Fishing permit is not required. You can rent a canoe or rowboat for the large lake also.

The area is surrounded by Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest where hunting is allowed certain times of the year.  ATV riding is also a popular recreational activity on designated trails within the national forests.

There are numerous outdoor activities nearby, including fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, river rafting, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, canoeing, and animal or bird watching.

The lodge is equipped with a brand new Brunswick pool table and board games, Nintendo, videos and DVDs to entertain the troops. In an effort to encourage family bonding time, there is no satellite or cable TV.

The lodge features a gourmet kitchen with slab granite counter tops and all the utensils, pots, pans, bread maker, and a Kitchenaide mixer to make everything from a batch of homemade cookies to a big homestyle turkey dinner. The lodge features a floor to ceiling stone wood-burning fireplace to snuggle by.

There are three bedrooms plus a loft and 3.5 baths. There are two master bedrooms each with an in-suite bathroom (one with a jacuzzi tub) and queen beds. The 3rd bedroom has a log Captain's bunk which has a full on the bottom and a twin on top.

Come stay for a long weekend (3 night minimum) in the Fall or Spring or a minimum of 5 nts during the peak summer season. I will consider a shorter stay in the summer within 30 days prior to your arrival.

NOTE: Daily fishing passes (required) can be purchased at the Crystal Lakes Office.
